Living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be challenging, not only for the individual, but also for the entire family. Finding resources and planning for the future can help with dealing with many of the complex needs that arise.

About the Author

Marsha Nixon Powell is a Philadelphia native. She lives with her family in Northeast Philadelphia. She is a long-time cancer survivor who has been a business owner (Family Child Care) and currently works as a Behavioral Health Technician in the Philadelphia School system with autistic and special needs children. She also works as a home caregiver for senior citizens in the Philadelphia and Bucks County areas. She recently wrote her first book - “I’m The Healthiest Sick Person I Know” and her second book - “The Many Rewards and Challenges of Being a Caregiver”.
