Once you have received your first interior proof from your design team, it is possible that the number of errors (usually more than 100 corrections) is such that it's in your best interest to supply us with a revised manuscript to reformat into a new interior proof for you to review. If the retech service is done at your request, there is an initial charge for the retech service and any applicable special formatting fees will need to be paid again (indexing, tables, etc). Please contact your Publishing Services Associate for a complete quote before purchasing this service.

In addition to providing a new manuscript, you will also have another opportunity to re-select your book’s trim size and provide revised formatting suggestions to your Publishing Services Associate. This includes changes of typeface, type size, image treatments, and the overall style in which your book was formatted. It is important that you express these types of formatting requests to your Publishing Services Associate, or supply an interior proof form, along with your newly revised manuscript. If we do not receive revised formatting requests, then the design team will utilize the same styling as the first proof you received from us.
