A Day Like This The sky so blue When seasons change The acorns fall The sunlight through
The trees so green
The air so crisp
All washed and clean.
That’s why I’m out
And dare not miss
To just soak up
A day like this.
I know they must
And all the trees
Turn shades of rust,
The air so thick
With morning mist
So splendid is
A day like this.
And walnuts too.
The fields consumed
By heavy dew,
Who can explain
Such wondrous bliss
That happens on
A day like this?
The forest green
Which gives all life
A different sheen.
It is as though
It seems to kiss
The whole earth on
A day like this.

About the Book
In his appreciation of his fellow human being, Mark Crouch uses the person’s dialect, slang, bias, and humor to give an honest picture of him. With a penchant for isolation, Crouch paints unusual vignettes of thoughts, suppositions, dreams, and unfulfilled goals.
It is the desire of the author that these thoughts, musings,
and sometimes stark shock might provide you with moments of entertainment and
inspiration.
About the Author
Having worked in a number of different vocations from sales to management, some of which afforded him the luxury of travel, Crouch was able to observe wildlife and nature often in their isolated beauty.
It was not until in his early ‘40’s that his gift
of poetic expression surfaced. The breadth of this expression is displayed in
wide variety in his describing his romp with his faithful dog to the beauty
of the grandeur of the Alaskan mountains in Alaska. Travel now with him on his
nostalgic journey in the world of beauty and awe.
