About the Book

To the devotee of poetry there is the rapture of rhyme and rhythm, but there is also the expression of deep-seated emotion. The poetry of this work meets those feelings on a wide range of subject matter. From the birds who sing, to the beauty and speed of the butterfly; from the subtle colors of the early dawn to the joy of tasks fulfilled, one experiences an uplift of spirit seldom felt in other types of literary expression.

In his appreciation of his fellow human being, Mark Crouch uses the person’s dialect, slang, bias, and humor to give an honest picture of him. With a penchant for isolation, Crouch paints unusual vignettes of thoughts, suppositions, dreams, and unfulfilled goals.

It is the desire of the author that these thoughts, musings, and sometimes stark shock might provide you with moments of entertainment and inspiration.

About the Author

From the time of his birth in an Egyptian city 200 miles south of Cairo, Mark Crouch has had an insatiable urge to be outdoors, either exploring the woods nearby, the trees of far-a-way forests, the beaches of oceans or lakes, the animals and birds encountered, or just plain everyday folks met in his journeys.

Having worked in a number of different vocations from sales to management, some of which afforded him the luxury of travel, Crouch was able to observe wildlife and nature often in their isolated beauty.

It was not until in his early ‘40’s that his gift of poetic expression surfaced. The breadth of this expression is displayed in wide variety in his describing his romp with his faithful dog to the beauty of the grandeur of the Alaskan mountains in Alaska. Travel now with him on his nostalgic journey in the world of beauty and awe.
