About the Book

This book, and the books to follow are loosely based on my experiences. I have a few friends, and many acquaintances. They will find themselves in many of the stories. I have heard a harrowing tale or two from passing strangers. If I laughed or cried because of a tale I was told, I probably wrote about it. I think many of you will find familiar tales in this book. If not, "Whispers On A Breeze" will be blowing in your ears very soon. That is the title of my next book.  Perhaps I will see you there.

About the Author

Michael J. Stanley is a native New Yorker. Born in Harlem, he was raised by his mother after his father died. He has one brother. Twice married, and divorced, and a father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to quite a few. The author maintains that he has never learned how to make love "work". This book tells of those brief victories, and the lasting effects of loss. It also tells many stories of resolve. He has only just begun.
