Can't Deny Love

Chapter One

   Angela Harrison is a successful financial advisor. She has a loving family, and best friends whom she has known since college. It has been a good life, so she thought. Why wasn't her goal of having a family of her own a reality?

   The sound of the ground under her feet, the chirping birds, and the morning fog gave her a since of relaxation. She and mother nature always embraced one another every morning. Angela was thankful for the things that would keep ones mind free. She felt, that running gave her some freedom.

   Futhermore, she felt a woman should always stay healthy and in shape. Who knows Mr. Wright might be waiting right around the corner. At least that is what she told herself all the time. Her best friend Sara Williams' grandmother use to say, "claim it child and it will become reality." Well, she have been claiming it for a long time without any results. So, there goes grandma Paula's theory.

   Her friend is a successful Real Estate agent. Angela is very happy for her, because she worked so hard to be the best. That is one thing she had going in her life, in which everyone could praise her for. The other thing, well she was dating their pastor. Yes, she's having an affair with pastor Phillip Lee Jenkins.

   Well, Angela called it an affair. Because sure as her name, that man is not leaving his wife and children for Sara. Lord, she tried to tell her, but it goes in one ear and comes out the other. Angela knew she would realize that one day. But she was so worried about the outcome, and she didn't want her friend scarred for life. She hoped in time, Sara would stick to their original plan in college. Which was to find a good job, someone to spend the rest of their lives with and bare children.

   Anyway she has her love life to consider. Most of the guys, she has dated wanted one thing only. Low and behold she wasn't willing to give it. She knew she deserved better. Yes, a man will come her way in due time. Despite her past, she is stronger and continuing to make the best of her life.

   Slowing down a little Angela neared her home. A home she had worked so hard for. There was one thing missing from her home. A home needed a family and the sound of laughter. Clearing those thoughts out of her mind, she showered and got dressed for work. Always wanting to be on time, and doing her best gave her the drive to acccomplish her goals. The atmosphere at work was marvelous. She couldn't have chosen a better place to work.

   Financial Advisiors Plus is a thriving company that prides itself on good ethics and services. "Good Morning Ms. Harrison," John said. John Smith is the son of the owner. Ted Smith had started the company over forty years ago. Soon, Ted would retire. Of course John will be taking his fathers' place as owner.

   Everyone as well as, Angela noticed how John made a special effort to always speak to her numerous times throughout the day. In the back of her mind, she felt he was sweet on her, but she quickly swept that under the rug. Realizing, that he couldn't possibly be interested in her. How could a wealthy, handsome man like himself be interested in her? There were so many beautiful women at the firm. Anyway she had a job to do.

   She unlocked her office and stepped in. Her office resembled her home office. The office contained everything she needed to accomplish her tasks and a few extra things. Anyone who entered her office would feel comfortable. Angela put her briefcase on her desk and flopped down in her chair. The first thing, she did was check her messages. Second, returned calls. Third, worked on her paperwork load.
