About the Author

Aunty Moose was raised along the North Shore. She grew up in a home overlooking the ocean where she learned to love and respect the sea. She would spend weekends with her beloved dad usually participating in some kind of outdoor adventure or sport, spending 2 weeks every summer at the family camp in Maine. She grew up among a very loving and nurturing Italian family- they didn't have allot of money but there was plenty of love- and of course a watchful eye on everything. Aunty Moose had her first of 2 boys in her early twenties, while the boys were in school she began to realize how hard it was to work (to support the family) and actually have some quality energy to spend with her boys. Although saddened by this- there didn't seem to be any logical answer. Time went by so fast and before long her oldest son got married and the first grandchild was on the way. Aunty Moose began to see the entire pattern repeat itself- her children working long hours to pay the bills, kids going to school- but now instead of going out to play it was can I watch TV or play a video game? It dawned on her that the relationships and quality time seem to be drifting even further away. At this point Aunty Moose began making time for her grandchildren and writing in hopes of teaching them that there is more to life than who has the most expensive pair of sneakers.
