About the Book

Gemma overhears her mother saying that she has the family gem so she starts looking for it. Unable to find it, Gemma is worried that she has lost it, but Gemma soon realizes that she had the gem with her all along.

About the Author

Shannon K. Mazurick has loved writing since a young age. She resides in Connecticut and graduated Saint Joseph College with a Bachelors degree in English. She has a minor in Psychology. Mazurick was born with Cerebral Palsy and she always tries her best. She has been using a computer since she was a baby and the computer continues to be a very useful tool for her. Writing helps Mazurick express herself and reflect on her experiences. She has wanted to become a published author for a few years and recently found the time to pursue her writing. Gemma: The Search for the Gem is Mazurick’s third published book. She is the proud author of Poetry As The Year Goes By and Reflective Poetry: Petals of the Heart. She is planning on publishing other books in the future. Mazurick hopes that this book will illustrate how everyone is an individual with his or her own unique qualities.
