Drusilla
could not help but admire Doris for refusing to budge when it came to obeying her
faith. Still, Drusilla was convinced her
obstinacy was misplaced. A new voice then
filled Drusilla’s brain. It was a voice
from a long time past—the voice of another Roman Catholic. A voice profanely shouting obscenities at
another man who abused a woman under his care:
"A man never raises his hand against a
woman—EVER!!! FOR WHEN HE DOES HE CEASES TO BE A MAN!!!"
That voice belonged to a man who was
now the head of the Genovese Crime family.
He was Boss of Bosses for the City of Chicago. Earlier, her own son had suggested in Polish
that his mother contact that man. Only Drusilla
had lied to Doris then to cover for Janos’ suggestion. However, as she surveyed Doris’ broken and
bandaged body, she was now admitting to herself that her private attorney—her
own son—had a good idea. Drusilla
remembered well how that same man welcomed her into his own house as nothing
less than a daughter on the day of her marriage. He had sworn to Drusilla that if there was anything
he could ever do for her, all she had to do was ask. Flabbergasted, Drusilla accepted that man's
generosity as a wedding present, but she privately vowed to herself that she
would never use the benefits which that man had just bestowed upon her. It was a vow she had stubbornly kept.
Today, Mrs. Drusilla Rearchek broke that
vow.
"CALL
ALBINO!!!" Drusilla ordered her
son.
"With pleasure," Janos replied, barely able to conceal his
joy.
Doris became hysterical.
"NOOO!!!"
"Doris…honey—" Drusilla began sweetly, but Doris had no
interest in buying what Drusilla was selling.
"No!
No! No, my sister! You
can't do this!" Doris
protested.
Drusilla ignored her. She nodded to her son with authority. Janos began walking towards a nearby desk
telephone. He extracted his personal keyring
from his pants pocket before reaching the phone.
"Drusilla, please don't!" Doris begged.
"Doris..." Drusilla said softly, trying to decide how
she was going to explain how she was justifying her course of action.
"YOU
KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN!!!" Doris yowled hysterically.
"They won't kill him," Drusilla
promised.
"Castrate him definitely," Janos
muttered to himself as he found the 'key' he desired from his keyring.
