As a Marine... I always heard... That Heaven's Gates... Are guarded by by United States Marines.. But the Angels in that scene... Are the Corpsmen... Always watching over... those Marines Was is sometimes so serene... Until the mortars start bursting in... Then all hell breaks loose... The whole world is confused. Only Death... This battle will diffuse. Corpsmen will ignore their safety... To save you and me. They are our Angels... you see. They carry a little black bag... Only as large as a small toolbox... But it is well packed. There's a full operation room... Inside that magical bag. there are Nurses and Doctors... It's well staffed... This Corpsman's black bag. Carried by Heroes... Taking care of other Heroes... Corpsmen and Marines... Brothers... to the end.

About the Book
This book is written in the hopes of reaching other victims of traumatic events, whether they might be combat Veterans, first responders, or just average citizens, that are living and re-living acts of violence or painful, stressful moments in their lives.
About the Author
After his retirement from a career of over twenty-eight years as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff, the author discovered that memories of his Vietnam tour of duty as a member of the United States Marine Corps... were only a nightmare away. Once he retired, the nightmares, and flashbacks intensified, and in his search for peace... he found help at the VA Hospital. Help came from the professional staff, and from the other Vets also seeking help at the VA. The author has being diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD,) and has learned that writing about his symptoms, have helped him on his road to recovery. The author has published a book titled, "Nightmares and Thoughts of a Vietnam Vet," and is included in a book of Poetry, titled "Castrated Hearts," which was published by a group of Veterans that are members of a Writing Group facilitated by the author at the Loma Linda Healthcare System, a VA Hospital in Loma Linda, California.
