About the Author

            Richard Pickens Cobb has born in Dallas, Texas in 1936 and has lived in Texas all of his life.  He spent his early years in west Texas at Midland and San Angelo.  He attended the University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M University at Kingsville, before going into the construction and ranch real estate business.  He now resides at his ranch in central Texas at Lampasas, where he raises cattle and quarter horses with a sideline of lost treasure hunting and historical research.  He has written sixteen books, most of which are about early folklore of the Southwest.
