Long before our time, in a distant arm of the Milky Way galaxy, there were wars. Technology developed over many thousands of years, fighting for power. These wars would ultimately cause the seeding of many worlds, but first they conquer.
The Palosapian imperial fleet took the planet Stylus and enslaved the population. As a punishment for endless sedition and rebellions, they decide to punish the holy child of Stylus. In this season, it's a young girl with mystical gifts and a gentle spirit.
In a world of runaway technology, she is a gift from the gods. She is able to heal with her touch and move objects with her mind. Her true potential is not known, and they will not inflict her with finding out. She is kept in a palace and treated like a queen. There is none other like her in the known universe. She is a priceless treasure in a world rich with treasure. All the people love her. Her name is Myra.
For the empire, to kill her will send a signal to the entire world. It would break the spirit of rebellion that troubles and costs them so much. But the people of Stylus spirit her away and make a plan for her escape. They would hide her in time and let the storm pass, using an elliptical orbit to send her around the sun and back several hundred years in the future.
Myra is not pleased with the idea, but they take her while she sleeps and put her in deep hibernation in a chamber designed to suspend her in time. She is completely suspended in a protective gelatin in that chamber.
While the people of Stylus watched the ship launch, and for only a moment, the time it takes the ship to reach the top of the gantry, Myra appears before them. She is awake and able to appear as an apparition. This is a new power born of desperation and fear. She appears before them as a ghost, naked and afraid. The people are surprised, and weep as Myra begs for her freedom, but the ship moves up beyond her strength to sustain the vision. She fades and their holy child is gone. They have condemned her, awake and aware, to a black and empty hell. The tortured look in her eyes is the last thing they see.
The few who conceived the idea realize what they have done and kill themselves. The rest who were involved and saw the eyes of the conscious girl are burdened with a life of regret. The wise men of Stylus have managed to spite their enemy by breaking their own heart. It is what the empire needed; the spirit of the planet is broken.
