From the author of such books as "The Gains of His Pain" and "Finding All", comes a powerful, insightful and brutally honest look at the memories as shared by Johnny Cash Eaton.
In this autobiographical work, ( The Story of Johnny Cash Eaton... Moments Remembered...His Story As Told to Me ) for the first time Johnny opens up and shares detailed memories of the man behind the books.
Never before has Johnny shared so many detailed aspects of his tragic childhood to the triumphant man he has become today.
As a child, Johnny suffered abuse at the hands of his parents.
He lived much of his young life in foster and group homes.
Many times in the places that were supposed to protect him, he again found himself physically, psychologically or sexually abused.
Johnny turned to alcohol as an escape from his painful life.
Eventually his drinking habit became so out- of -control, he entered a "rehab" in Watertown, New York.
Throughout this difficult and emotional process of becoming an adult, Johnny began to put his feelings on paper in the form of poetry.
He has thus far published five books; received recognition from three United States Presidents, two New York Governors and several members of our United States Congress.
Today, the man who was once known as a town drunk, has completely turned his life around, and today stands before us all as a sober, generous, and triumphant individual.
Today Johnny leads a life full of love for others.
He has encouraged many of his readers to fight the good fight and finish the race.
Indeed, his own life has become living proof that you can take the pains of life and turn them into gains.
This book is a must- have, for anyone who has ever bought or read any of his other books.

Just As He Told His Story to Me...
The abuse did not stop just because he was removed from his natural parents. The courts would have one believe that in cases where they remove children from abusive parents, the abuse would come to an end, simply because they no longer lived with their "natural parents". This was obviously not the case with Johnny Cash Eaton; nor is it necessarily the case for other children in similar circumstances.
In this book, Mr. Eaton shares with his readers his experiences in foster homes, with foster parents, with his peers, with his family, with his friends, in group homes and in State Facilities because the need to further share his story is a must.
His greatest wish in sharing his story is not to have others placing pity on him, but rather letting others know that he's living proof that one can change their lives for the better. He has seen so much for one whose life is still in its prime. And as he continues to mature, his painful life's experiences have made him wise beyond his years. Yesterday, Johnny was a victim and today, he's a survivor, with an important story to tell. Making his story public is not the end; it's just the beginning, for with every book that Johnny writes, he gives back to others.
His breaking the silence on violence is merely the start of his fight. His greatest fight remains inside him with all that he keeps hidden deep within.
The homes, the courts, his friends, his tests, his lessons, his family, his episodes of abuse, all of these things gave this one man the fight to change for the better...
This book tells of his lingering memories of his being placed in homes throughout New York State (in no particular order). No focus on ages and time frames of instances of abuse is necessary in this work, because indeed there is no right time for abuse. For, abuse is abuse, no matter when in one's life it occurs.....
