Patrick Hanley, C.I.A. operative, close friend of President Kelly, is sent by the President to accomplish covert tasks that only he will be knowledgeable about.
The President feels: “Anything we do we are damned by Middle East, Asian’s, and even our supposed European friends. If war comes because Iran can’t resist the temptation to eradicate Israel the economic repercussions will bring the United States to its knees, just as they have predicted and hoped.”
The conscience is that we cannot have United States energy security without global energy security.”

Patrick also disclosed the partnership the United States had formed with Canada to drill in the Arctic to open up wells that would produce up to 500,000 barrels a day. It is going to take years and lots of money to get the Arctic wells into production to make a dent in the dependences the government of the U.S. had created on foreign oil.
“How is your counties new exploration and drilling in the Arctic progressing?” The P.M. inquired in his call to President Kelly.
“When we are producing four million new barrels of crude a day we will back to the production we had twenty-five years ago.”
We need to stop all the enemies of the U.S. dedicated to the destruction and interruption of oil and natural gas to create economic crises in the Western world.” Alan remarked.
“Mr. President it would appear that the Chinese have sent a tanker submarine into Lancaster Sound and stolen the oil from one of our tankers. It would appear they are going back to China with our oil. We are going to need protection for the oil tankers, and at least two heavily armed Coast Guard ice breakers. The submarine was using a 127mm on its deck to rake its prey, they then board the tanker and gun down the balance of the crew in cold blood.”
The torpedoes found the open torpedoes doors of the submarine and the explosion was an eruption blowing the entire front of the submarine into the air, raining debris down on the Patriot. The submarine was mortally wounded and sinking rapidly. There was no way there would be any survivors
Vladimir had four grenades ready, pins pulled. The grenades were set for thirty seconds when Vladimir tossed them into the Iranian stores of munitions. The truck was already moving when Vladimir tossed the last grenade
“Here is the plan for tomorrow. Vladimir and I are going to the border in a military vehicle to explore an appropriate crossing point into Iran. The Colonel had some suggestion we need to evaluate. The rest of you are to gather up weapons we will need, explosives, and clothing and survival equipment. We need to minimize any association with the United States; we are independent contractors doing a job.”
“What had been suggested is that it the undermining of the exiting political leverage over the people might achieve a change in their government without the West resorting to force. The Iranian must desist on the path to developing nuclear weapons.”

The remaining crew on the tanker was all watching when Patrick hit the detonator button and the horizon lit up in a huge orange ball. No one would ever know the world had just been rid of the scum of the earth.
The last thing Colin saw was the release of two hot missiles that hit the cabin and penetrating the cabin walls before exploding and completely transforming the old chateau into a scatted mess of debris. The Russian Military Mi-24 attack helicopter made another pass and hovered over the remains before skimming just above the ground towards the north, towards Russia.
Four missiles streaked out the shoulder missiles launchers and hit the helicopters missiles ports. The sky lit up in a huge explosive ball of light.
