Not Just One Veil But all.
Ephesians 2: 17 -And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.
In light of the temple, the farthest are the Gentiles and the closest are the priests. So if He (Jesus) preaches to the farthest and the closest, then everyone in between is also included in the peace message. Who all are the parties in between as according to their classifications? They are the Jewish men and women. With each group there is a standing veil that separates and all of these veils have been torn down for which they have peace with one another and with God. Men and Women can sit together and both can worship God any way they like, Gentiles can sit with them and worship God freely. What God has cleansed by His blood and approves let no man disqualify.
But what has the message preached? What is the peace message?
The message is found in verse -13. But now in Christ you who were once far away have been brought near by the Blood of Christ.
God has called the farthest to come close to him, which in particular are the Gentiles and the Jewish women. The barriers are taken away, and everyone is categorized no longer by their race or gender; they are all categorized by being one in Christ Jesus.
The message is plain and simple, everyone is equal in the sight of God because everyone is accepted and justified in the sight of God.
Clean as the Lord Jesus is.
All can walk right into the Holy of Holies without guilt or condemnation. Because God has accepted the Gentiles, He has even accepted the Jewish women as clean as Jesus is. That’s the cleanest one can ever get, as clean as Jesus is and we all are as clean as Jesus. Everyone that has accepted Jesus has become as clean and righteous as Jesus. It is interesting to note that the Gentiles are not made to be as clean as the Jews or the women as clean as the men, or even the little priests. But they were all made to be as clean as Jesus!
They are made to be clean in the level of cleanliness God Himself inhabits. If you are accepted by God then don’t let no one judge you what you should and should not do. Women, you too can do what men do, you too can preach, pastor a Church or head a company. As a matter of fact God has called some of you into these leadership positions. God does not judge you for doing so. Free at last! Free at last! Shout once you know that you are free at last! Be all that your heart craves to do, that significant somebody that God has created you to be.
After that great and marvelous doing of God Almighty by pulling down all standing barriers in the temple, and bringing together all the parties that once lived in total discrimination through the corruptive Jewish system of laws and regulations, Galatians 3:28 becomes a reality:
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Earlier in our book we discussed how that part of the Rabbi’s Prayer really speaks of discriminating the three groups, and they are the Gentiles or Greeks, the Slaves and the Women. Well the Good News is that these three groups, according to Galatians 3:28 have been accepted and have become one with the accepted.
This present teaching alone nullify the theory that women should not preach in the Churches. Paul’s teaching to Timothy about women is invalid for today’s application where they are not permitted to speak in the Churches. I believe they are quite beneficial at his time due to the amount of revelation knowledge they possess, considering the culture of their time then, but it is definitely not for our day.
