He could almost see the bullet coming across the field. He watched it, and it hit him in the head.
He awoke in Paris, in a hospital, and the nurse over him wore a white nurse’s outfit, with hat, and her bosom was partially exposed.
“Am I still alive?” he asked.
“No,” the nurse answered.
“Am I in heaven?” he asked.
“No,” she replied, “you’re not allowed to touch.”
