About the Book
This is the fourth book in a series about two Chihuahuas, Jack and Dobbie. The first book The Beginning tells how Dobbie came to be adopted through an animal rescue group as a playmate for Jack. The second book Happy Tails describes events that nearly ended in disaster as well as more light-hearted moments of interaction with Jack. The third book Doggie Holidays explains how the dogs celebrate their birthdays and holidays with the family. The fourth book Traveling Buddies details the vehicles the dogs like to ride in and the places they visit. As their story continues in book five Mischievous Chihuahuas, children will learn the dogs are not always perfect; but they are still loved. We hope you enjoy reading their story and that you may be encouraged to adopt a pet and know the true joy they bring to the home.
About the Author
Shirley and Ray Scott live with Jack and Dobbie on ten acres in the small town of Hoagland, Indiana. Jack came to live with the Scotts, but he was lonely. They adopted Dobbie from a pet rescue organization as a playmate for Jack. This series is intended for children to see similarities in the problems and behaviors of their own pets. The author wants the reader to understand the joy the little adopted dog and his brother have brought to the family. She hopes these books will encourage others to adopt from shelters and to know the satisfaction of giving a pet a loving home.
