About the Author Leslie Saint-Julien is a Brooklyn, NY native who is committed to empowering young women and children from underrepresented communities through her writings. She is a writer of poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Leslie is also a performer of the spoken word and an inspirational speaker. Her other published works include More Than Me, Moments, and Blue Rose. She currently resides in the Washington, DC area, where she continues to write and inspire. Brooklyn Stew is her first illustrated poetry book.
