Eli’s dad walks up to Eli’s aunt at the fish market and tells her of the gift from the fisherman. “Word traveled fast about the arrival of Chris, Carl, and Juan,” said Eli’s dad. “I’m sure the fishermen heard how much I made on my catch because they gave me exactly the same amount.” “That is amazing,” Eli’s aunt gasped, “and it was a fisherman? Many of them don’t have much to spare.” “Well, I originally thought, the cashier, the fisherman and those four men that were inside the dealer’s store, were all in it together, but now that I think of it there was a well-dressed man there as well,” replied Eli’s dad. “I always say be careful what you say next, you never know who’s listening,” replied Eli’s aunt, “but in this case it all worked out for the good.”

About the Author
A foster child once himself, Jim Masterson finds joy in teaching acting to children and young adults. He is filled with endless creative ideas and encouragement that doled out compassionately even got his very reluctant wife to perform on stage once. Jim is an extrovert who enjoys public speaking as much as ordinary conversations with the stranger on the street. His writing career started out in theater writing, plays and skits, long before he began writing books. His voice and theatrical experience brings his characters to life for the reader in a way that is uniquely his own. Jim Masterson lives and writes in New Hampshire with his wife Susan and their faithful dog Ohana.
