Psalm XXIII.
THE LORD is my shepherd, - He'll never deprive
Me of anything needful to live.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, alive;
To still waters, He leads me to give.
Renews He my spirit, - restores He my soul;
For His Name's sake, He shows me right roads.
I will fear no evil, and upright I'll stroll
Through the valley of death, as my modes.
For You are with me, and Your staff and Your rod
Comfort me. - And a table You set,
Before me, in front of my enemies, - God,
You anoint my own head, - it is wet
With oil. - And my cup overflows with Your giving:
Your goodness and mercy will be
With me, all the days of my life; - I'll be living
In Your house forever, and free.
Laments from Eden, Eve and Adam
Disobeying God;
Lamenting leaving
The Garden without rod.
From then till now, laments and grief
Have found their futile ways;
Here, Jeremiah, prophet, had
His own laments and praise.
