Dad makes his demands “I will give my resignation at the door of my airplane, ObamAir; but beforehand, you must transfer my money and my wife’s money to an international bank in Switzerland, right the way. You must also allow me to take with me two airmen and my servant.” As Dad was talking, a fifth General steps forward and slaps him in his face. Surprised by this monstrous act, Dad loses his balance and seems to be unconscious as he was falling. Mom tries to hold him up, but the same General tackles her feet. And as both of them were about to hit the ground, a sixth General redresses them with a double blow. Seeing that, we screamed incessantly, “Stop, band of bandits! America is not Africa!” They stop the beating but continue to drag them like caterpillars to force them to ... it was at that moment that Obiden intervenes, saying: “Dear heroes Generals, forgive my abrupt intervention. Let’s give him what he has asked, for the day is approaching. The people are going to be in the street at 7:00 A.M. We don’t want them to hold us responsible for the blood of the president of the United States, like our ancestors were liable for Kennedy and Martin Luther’s assassination. We can use the money that he desires us to transfer as evidence that he leaves America voluntarily. Isn’t it?” The executioners, without saying a word, push us in the black Cadillac and drive us, as one of them was using a laptop to proceed with the electronic transfer. We get to a private airport where ObamAir was stationed. Calmly, Dad verifies that his demands were met. He then beckons us to enter in his airplane and attach our seatbelts. He orders the aviators to start the engine; and, with one foot on the airplane and one on land, he signs the paper and hands it to Obiden. As soon as Obiden finishes checking the signature and looks at the six Generals to tell them that it was authentic; Dad, without wasting a second, closes the plane and we take off.

About the Book
Obama in exile is the first novel of the series of seven books entitled Children of the 21st century, a comparative study of nuclear societies. It is an attempt to analyze the behavior of American, African-Americans and the world toward the first African American president of the United State. The theme exile is both symbolic and literal. In this sense the author asserts that Obama is in exile in America, where he is limited in his actions; and his failure to follow the agenda of the status quo caused him to go into exile in Africa. The author sees this exile as a form of liberation for Obama, because in Africa, he will, at least, have less stress to accomplish great deeds in the African world that lies in despair. Obama in exile is, by all means, the tale of the tales about the clash of classes between dictators and the people, parents and their children, negritude and white supremacy and, above all, the army and the civil leaders to control human minds, earthly goods and its space.
About the Author
Daniel Brice is born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in 1970. He came to the United States in 2000 and received political asylum before becoming a US citizen, 10 years later. He went to Port-au-Prince twice, in the middle of the quake that has ravaged his native land, Haiti, on January 12, 2010; to rescue family members and friends. And he was able to move at least 25 family members and friends from affected areas of Port-au-Prince to the Dominican Republic. Daniel Brice is a novelist, a bilingual writer. As a whole, he is a storyteller who can laugh with the laughter and cry with the sorrowful soul to reflect on ways to defend our society’s values in route to extinction. He was awarded a scholarship at the University of Alabama where he received a Master’s degree in French Literature and Linguistics. Upon returning from his trip to Haiti, he was depressed and hopeless when his cancerous mother, his source of inspiration, died in a hospital in Alabama, USA upon his return from Haiti, on February 2010. He could not focus in school and did not drop out either, despite losing his scholarship right after these events. But he was so motivated; he went back to school the next day of his mother passing, just to keep up the promise he has made to her, which is to graduate and to get a better job to support family members in Haiti. He did graduate by taking Federal loans and receiving some supports from friends. Since the University of Alabama was three hours away from Huntsville, he could not drive back and forth and could not afford either to rent a second home. So he left his wife and children in Huntsville; and for the two years that he was enrolled at UA, he spent the night sleeping in his broken 2000 Ford Windstar van. At the end, it was rewarding, because he was able to graduate in December 2011 with a Master's degree. Despite in 2007, he obtained a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Bellevue University and in 2004 a Bachelor’s degree in Ministerial Theology with a minor in Biblical languages, from Oakwood University, he could not find a job. Believing in writing Mr. Brice is the author of Obama in exile and Haiti in the lions' den, which are the first two of a series of seven fiction books that he calls Children of the 21st Century, a Comparative Study of Nuclear Societies. This masterpiece presents a literary debate, an unmerciful battle between voodoo and its daring gods, the dictatorial government of Haiti and the quake survivors, the international and humanitarian organizations and the Haitian people and the Haitian Diaspora. The author narrates with tragicomedy the history of Haiti in the 21st century, foretelling how they will wake up after the quake to challenge the status quo of a dynamic nuclear world in order to build its own destiny.
